Hartford Seminary Library Information

Library Access

The Library's primary users, the students and faculty of Hartford Seminary, enjoy full access to the library's collections and services.

The Library participates in a reciprocal borrowing agreement by which the faculty of participating CCALD libraries may borrow books according the the CCALD Policy.

Many users, including students from area colleges and universities, benefit from the Library's collection by means of Interlibrary Loan from their home library.

Researchers wishing to use archive or special collection materials are encouraged to contact the Reference Librarian in advance (860-509-9561).

All are welcome to use the collection within the library during regular hours. Guests may apply for borrowing privileges through the Circulation Librarian (860-509-9500).

Guest Access

While all may use materials in the Library, Hartford area residents may apply for borrowing privileges through the Circulation Librarian (860-509-9500).

The Basic Guest ($25 annual fee) receives basic reference services and the ability to check out up to 10 books concurrently.

The Guest Scholar ($50 annual fee) is able to check out up to 25 books, access electronic resources from off campus, and receive Interlibrary Loan services ($1 fee per article, plus costs incurred--if any.)
